Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Web Makeer collects when you use this website or work with us, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
1. Who we are
Web Makeer is a web design and development studio. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@webmakeer.com.
Registered address: […]. Data controller: […].
2. What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, company, and anything else you type into a contact or enquiry form, or send us by email or messaging app.
Information collected automatically. Standard server and analytics data: pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, device and browser type, and time of visit.
Client project data. Where you engage us, we hold the material needed to do the work — brand assets, content, and credentials you choose to share with us.
3. Why we collect it
To respond to enquiries and provide quotes.
To deliver and support work you have engaged us for.
To send updates you have specifically asked to receive. We do not add enquiry contacts to a marketing list without consent.
To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate, so we can improve the site.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
4. Legal basis
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (for marketing email and non-essential cookies), performance of a contract (to deliver work), and legitimate interests (to run and secure the site and respond to enquiries).
5. Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and — where you consent — analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used in aggregate.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
Analytics provider: […]. See their own privacy notice for how they process data.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only with service providers who help us operate — hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processing — and only to the extent they need it. Each is bound to protect it.
We may disclose information where legally required.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months.
Client project records: for the duration of the engagement plus the period required for tax and accounting purposes.
Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email hello@webmakeer.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
